WELCOME TO THE BLUE WREN FARMHOUSE

We are delighted you have chosen our farmhouse and wish you a wonderful stay.

HOUSE GUIDELINES

The following guidelines have been established to ensure that your stay at Blue Wren Farm is as comfortable as possible. Our guests’ safety is of paramount importance to us. Accordingly, we kindly ask that you take some time to carefully read through all the information listed below at the commencement of your stay.

GENERAL REQUIREMENTS

Guests and visitors must comply with all house rules and any instructions or directions from the manager and or security services during their stay at Blue Wren Farm. Guests must also notify our manager Simon on 0423 354 576 of any disputes or complaints from neighbours (or the like) as soon as practicable.

NOISE AND RESIDENTIAL AMENITY

Guests and visitors must not create noise which is offensive to occupiers of neighbouring properties at any time during their stay and more particularly;

  • Between the hours of 10pm-8am; and
  • During their arrival and departure from The Farmhouse.

Offensive noise from guests and/or visitors behaviour which results in:

  • A complaint from a neighbouring resident and/or
  • The police being called and or advised of the disturbance

May result in the termination of your permission to occupy The Farmhouse, immediate eviction and/or incurrence of extra charges, which may be deducted from the Security Deposit, under the terms and conditions of your stay.

The Farmhouse is located on a working property, with nearby neighbours. As such, all guests and visitors must not engage in anti-social behaviour and must minimise their impact on the residential amenity of neighbours and the wider community.

Please also ensure you are conscious of your environmental footprint during your stay and ensure that all rubbish is disposed of correctly.

AMENITIES MANAGEMENT

Furniture and permanent fixtures are not to be moved under any circumstances. Any smaller chattels which are moved during the course of your stay must be returned to the room they were originally found, prior to checkout (e.g. pillows, blankets etc.)

TELEVISION

Please note, there is no free-to-air television available at The Farmhouse, however, all televisions in the house are linked to an Apple TV, which allows access to all major streaming services as well as free to air TV apps. This requires your own personal login details.

Please note that each television has an associated remote that MUST be kept with that television and are not interchangeable. You can also stream through all these televisions with your phone.

AIR CONDITIONER

The main control to the heating & cooling system is in the wall in the living room.

PLEASE NOTE – the door to the hallway needs to be left open when the system is operating to allow for air flow.

Due to the size and layout of the house it is not possible to effectively cool or heat the whole house at one time. It is best to operate the living area and kitchen during the day, and then at night, switch them off, and switch on the bedrooms if need be.

Please ensure that lights and air conditioning are switched off when not required, and when leaving the house.

OVEN & GAS COOKTOP

To operate the oven and gas stovetop you need to turn the switches on at the wall near the kitchen sliding door.

For the downlights above the gas stovetop please look for the switch near the microwave and knife rack.

You will need to use the lighters located above the range hood to light the gas hobs. They do not automatically light.

BARBECUE

We hope you enjoy the use of the barbecue throughout your stay. Please dispose of your used oil in the waste bucket, then thoroughly clean the barbecue after each use with hot soapy water and an abrasive pad or BBQ wipes. If the barbecue is left dirty, there will be a $150 cleaning fee. It is very messy business cleaning the barbecue, and much easier to do it immediately after use.

Please take care when using the BBQ and ensure the gas is turned off after use.

FIRE PIT

The fire pit is only to be used in accordance with current fire restrictions. Please check restrictions before using it.

The fire pit area is for your enjoyment. Please note, there is an allocation of firewood next to the back steps.

As we are on a farm it is essential you take the utmost of care when using the firepit. Fires must be monitored at all times, and never left unattended.

All fires must be completely extinguished at the end of each use.

INSECTS

To avoid insects inside the house, please ensure the fly screens are kept closed at all times.

PETS

Pets are not permitted at The Farmhouse.
